Investigators are looking into several acts of vandalism in the town of Darien.
The wave of vandalism happened this past weekend where several mailboxes were damaged, lights and warning signs on a railroad crossing were broken on Fargo Road and there was a mysterious fire in a motor home on Countyline Road near Route 33.
Genesee County Chief Deputy Gordon Dibble said he isn’t sure if all the acts are related, but he suspects some of them are.
Dibble said law enforcement suspects that mail boxes on Countyline road along with another four on Fargo road were hit some time between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:45 a.m. on Sunday by a person riding in a car or truck with an aluminum baseball bat.
Dibble is asking anyone with information about the vandalism in Darien to call the Sheriff's Office at (585) 343-5000.
