Deeming educational efficiency and program preservation more important than loud community concerns – the Batavia City School Board has voted to consolidate schools.
The board voted Monday night to shut down Robert Morris Elementary, eliminate neighborhood schools and send all 5th-graders to the Batavia Middle School, effective next school year.
Robert Morris Elementary is slated to close just after the end of the current school year, on June 30th.
