The trial of an illegal immigrant accused of raping and killing his teenage sister-in-law in Albion has been delayed another three months.
The public defender for Carlos Cardenas told the Orleans County Court he needed more time to consult with a forensic expert.
Cardenas is accused of killing 15-year old Katy Sanchez last January.
Cardenas says he accidentally strangled the girl after the two had sex and Katy threatened to tell.
Former Buffalo Bills defensive player Coy Wire says a bounty system was in place when he played for the team. Wire says cash bonuses paid to NFL players reflected an aggressive defensive mindset practiced under Coach Gregg Williams.
His comments come after an NFL investigation uncovered a bounty system used by the New Orleans Saints' defensive players and coaches that paid cash for knocking players from games.
The NFL is currently considering penalties against Williams as well as other coaches and management still with the Saints.
A new poll finds support for Governor Andrew Cuomo has dipped slightly. The new Siena College poll finds Cuomo's favorability rating at 69-percent, down from 74-percent last month.

A trio of politicians has teamed up to urge the Veterans’ Administration to keep the V-A clinic in Warsaw open.
The V-A announced last week it would close its Warsaw location due to rising costs. The V-A says patients have plenty of access here in Batavia.
U.S. Senator’s Schumer and Gillibrand and Congresswoman Kathy Hochul are pressing the V-A to reverse the decision and even expand the Warsaw site.
