A public meeting is scheduled for tonight in LeRoy into what has been characterized as an outbreak of Tourette’s like symptoms among a few LeRoy High School girls.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 tonight in the LeRoy Junior/Senior High Auditorium.
The school district says state and county health officials will share the latest details of their investigation.
School officials have been guarded in the release of information about the issue.
About a half dozen LeRoy High School girls are said to have developed varying degrees of tics and involuntary muscle movements.
The Oakfield-Alabama School District is holding a town hall style meeting on bullying.
Oakfield-Alabama has just announced that the meeting will be held on Thursday, January 26th in the high school auditorium.
Two Warsaw High School wrestlers have been arrested on charges of hazing.
The 17-year-old and 16-year-old students are accused of forcing younger teammates to punch each other in the face to avoid being harassed, and then beating one of the victims when they didn't think he was punching the other hard enough.
One of the suspects is also charged with tampering with evidence for allegedly deleting videos of the incident off his phone.
A Town of Alabama woman, who claimed she was stabbed in the face, is facing a charge of Falsely Reporting an Incident.
22-year-old April Marie Ground of Meadville Road told deputies back in November she was stabbed by another woman in the parking lot of a Batavia store. She now says it never happened.
