The Webster teenager accused of intentionally setting a fire that killed his father and two brothers has pled not guilty. Fifteen-year-old Michael Pilato entered a not guilty plea in Monroe County Court yesterday to multiple charges, including second-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Pilato intentionally set a fire at his family's home earlier this month after spreading gasoline around the house.
There could be more trouble for former New York State Senate Majority Leader Pedro Espada Jr. A state ethics commission says the former senator violated the law by putting his uncle on the state payroll as a "special assistant" when Espada was still in office.
Espada is currently under federal indictment for allegedly embezzling millions of dollars from a health clinic he controlled.
