A Corfu man is among four Attica Prison correction officers, indicted on Gang Assault charges for allegedly beating up a prison inmate this summer.
37-year-old Keith Swack tops the list of men charged with Conspiracy, Tampering with Evidence, and Official Misconduct.
37-year-old Sean Warner of Belfast, 29-year-old Matthew Raddemacher of Wyoming and 28-year-old Erik Hibsch of Gainesville are also indicted. Warner is additionally charged with offering a False Instrument for Filing.
The Wyoming County District Attorney’s office says the group planned to beat up an inmate and then did back on August 9th, for unknown reason. They apparently later claimed the inmate threatened them with a razor, a claimed that turned out to be false, authorities said..
Warner is later accused of doctoring several incident reports for filing with the Department of Corrections.
All of the men are now being held behind bars themselves – each on $25,000 bail.
