One of Batavia’s big box stores is closing.

Lowe’s, a home improvement store on Veteran’s memorial Drive, will close in a month.
WBTA News partner The Batavian confirmed with closing with store manager Ray Robare. He said no firm closing date had been set, but employees told the website the store will close by January 13th.
The employees were called in for a mandatory meeting last night and given the news.
The store employs about 90 people.
No reason was given for the closing.
Lowes opened after its competitor, Home Depot, which is located directly across the street.
