A Wyoming County couple was killed in a three-vehicle collision in the Town of Java.

51-year-old Cheryl Ozzimo and her husband, 58-year-old Ronald Ozzimo, were killed yesterday afternoon, when their car entered the intersection of Route 98 and the Pee Dee Road and struck another vehicle.

Cheryl and Ronald died at the scene.

Deputies said the Ozzimo’s car collided with a vehicle operated by 63-year-old Robert Baylor of Bliss.
The Ozzimo car then struck a second vehicle that was stopped at the intersection, operated by 70-year-old Lila Thomas of North Java.

Baylor, Thomas and a passenger in the Thomas vehicle, 58-year-old Gary Thomas, were all treated and released for minor injuries at Wyoming County Community Hospital.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
