A Genesee County Court Jury has found Ronald Smith not guilty of the sexual abuse of a seven year old girl.
The jury was never told of Smith’s prior conviction on similar charges.
The jury deliberated for nearly nine hours, returning their verdict early yesterday afternoon.
Smith was charged with three counts of 1st degree sexual abuse.
A Batavia woman has been jailed without bail on felony charges of Criminal Contempt.
Batavia Police say 35-year-old Shuvon “Bonnie” Williams of Lewis violated a court order of protection by threatening the protected person with bodily harm.
