As part of the City School District's ongoing look at building consolidation, city school officials will host a series of public forums, beginning tonight.
The School Board has viewed several presentations on a state-mandated Building Conditions Survey. Several proposals are now in-place to eliminate the district administration building on Washington Avenue, and consolidate operations into the remaining buildings. The proposals include a rearrangement of grade levels by school, moving away from the current "neighborhood schools" model. (See prior coverage and condition/consolidation reports HERE)
The District is now seeking public input on the complicated proposals. Teachers and district staff will meet this afternoon for a private forum.
Tonight is the first public meeting on the proposals. It will be held at 7:00pm at the Batavia Middle School.
