Two people are hospitalized with serious injuries after an ATV accident. Monroe County deputies say two people were riding an ATV on Attridge Road in Riga, just into Monroe County, when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle. One rider sustained critical injuries while the other has serious, but non-life threatening ones. Neither person was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and deputies believe alcohol was a factor.
Alcohol was the apparent cause of a one-car accident early yesterday morning on Chaffee Road in the Town of Java. 44-year-old Keith Smithers of Buffalo was the driver of a car that left the roadway after he reportedly fell asleep.
