Batavia Police are investigating how a one-year old fell from a second story window.
It happened last evening along East Avenue in the city.
The unidentified child fell about 14 feet to an asphalt surface.
The child has been taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The condition of the child is not known this morning.
Initial reports said the child’s injuries did not appear life threatening, but that could not be confirmed this morning.
The mother told police it was possible an older child may have opened a screen window that allowed the baby to get out.
