A new law is in place today imposing new regulations on teenage drivers.
Genesee County Clerk Don Read, who is in charge of the local Department of Motor Vehicles Office, explains the changes teenagers must adhere to just to get a license and show proof they have completed new required training:

The new law also spells out how many non-family passengers a teenager driver can have in their car.
Chief Deputy Gordon Dibble of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, says local lawmen are in favor of the new regulation, but admits it will be difficult to enforce:

Statistics show the leading cause of death among 16 to 20 year olds, is car crashes.
