A Geneseo policeman is recovering today from injuries sustained in a head-on collision with a civilian vehicle.
The unidentified officer reportedly only received minor injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Strong Hospital in Rochester.
The crash apparently occurred early this morning, when 53-year-old Randall Barber from the State of North Carolina crossed the center line on a curve of Route 20 in the Village of Geneseo. Barber was allegedly driving drunk.
The collision with the squad car caused major damage to both vehicles.
Barber’s injuries are unknown. He was charged with DWI, Failure to Stay in Lane, and Failure to Reduce Speed. He’s due in court at a later date.
