A proposed housing development off Stringham Drive in the Town of Batavia has hit another snag.
The Batavia Town Planning Board last night submitted an 11-page document to Nathaniel Development Corporation of Rochester, with key questions the developer must answer within 60 days. The document has mostly to do with environmental guidelines.
The Town has been reluctant to let Nathaniel Development build low-income housing in the area. The Town’s master plan apparently calls for more middle-income housing.
Residents in the Stringham Drive area have also been strongly opposed to more development there. They say traffic in their neighborhood, which is just off Route 33, is already dangerous enough.
