Former Buffalo Bill Mark Kelso will kick-off the local United Way Day of Caring.
Organizers of the event tell WBTA the former Bills safety will make an appearance during the opening ceremonies at Dwyer Stadium at 8:30a.m. Wednesday, May 18th.
This year, 260 volunteers have signed up for the Day of Caring. The volunteers will participate in 48 various projects for non-profit agencies and organizations throughout Genesee County.
Kelso played in eight NFL seasons and his entire career with the Buffalo Bills from 1986-1993. His peak performance as a pro came during the 1988 season when he intercepted seven passes for 180 yards and one touchdown. Kelso appeared in four consecutive Super Bowl appearances for the Bills from 1990 to 1993.
