The Genesee County Republican Committee is meeting on Thursday night to endorse its slate of candidates.
WBTA News has learned that City Councilman at-large Frank Ferrando will seek the county legislature seat now held by Robert Radley.
Radley is not seeking re-election due to business commitments.
City Council President Marianne Clattenburg has already announced that she will seek the legislature seat that had been held by Hollis Upson, who decided not to seek re-election.
City of Batavia Republicans have endorsed half their slate of candidates for this November’s City Council election.
All six Ward Council seats are up for election this fall.
The City GOP met last night and endorsed Kristopher Doeringer for Ward One, Patti Pacino in Ward 2 and Bob Bialkowski in Ward 4.
Pacino and Bialkowski are incumbents.
The city Republicans are still seeking candidates for Wards 3, 5 and 6.
Persons interested in running should contact city GOP Chairman Joseph Gerace by May 20th.
