A politically connected Batavia family says poor infection control at UMMC has put one of their relatives at death’s door.
The hospital acknowledges the number of cases of C diff Bacteria is up but still consistent with the patient load. The hospital defends its infection control policies.

State Police say human remains found in Steuben County may be those of missing RIT student. George Delany.
The remains were found last night by two hikers walking in a wooded area in the Town of Cohocton.
The remains were taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiners office.
State Police have called a news conference for later this morning to discuss the case.
Delany went missing from his Chili apartment on March 15th. His car had been found abandon in Steuben County.
A young LeRoy man has been arrested for Burglary, accused of breaking into someone’s place and allegedly stealing some potted plants.
19-year-old Adam Bond of Lake Street was arrested yesterday. During the investigation into the burglary, LeRoy Police say Bond was also growing weed in his own place.
He’s locked up in lieu of $15,000 bail.
We're more than halfway through April and the forecast is still calling for snow. The National Weather Service says there is a 60-percent chance that the white stuff will start flying today. Forecasters say we're still a month away from the latest snowfall ever. That was May 19th of 1976.
