A routine traffic stop leads to a felony charge against a LeRoy man.
25-year-old Kevin Heschke of LeRoy was stopped last night on Church Street in the Village.
As LeRoy Police were investigating they said that Heschke took off on foot.
He was collared in a nearby backyard.
Heschke was charged with a felony count of drunk driving and jailed in lieu of 15-hundred dollars bail.

The Batavia City Council meets this Monday night.
City Lawmakers will hold both a business meeting and conference meeting.
Council is expected to get details about a $600,000 project to repair a sewer line on North Street.
Also on Monday, the Batavia City School Board is meeting.
The school board will meet at John Kennedy School.
All the meetings begin at 7pm Monday night.
A man dressed as an Afghan border policeman, believed to have shot and killed a western New York soldier on Monday, has been killed during a military raid.
26-year-old Sgt. Michael Lammerts of Amherst was killed on Monday.
He was shot by man in an Afghan border police uniform.
A raid conducted yesterday targeted the suspected shooter. NATO said the suspect displayed “hostile intent” and was immeidately shot and killed.
Sgt. Lammerts was married and the father of two young children.
