Rochester Police were searching for the driver that struck and killed 38 year old Jill Skivington Jackett of Rochester while she was jogging near the University of Rochester Medical Center last week.

Their search ended yesterday when 27 year old Jon Jamberdino of Chili turned himself in to law enforcement for the hit and run.

He was charged with a Class D felony count of Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident and was committed to jail on $5,000 bail after pleading not guilty at arraignment.

Jamberdino has no criminal history, a fairly clean driving record and his representation said he has learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Jackett was the wife of Shawn Jackett a Batavia native and high school graduate.
