A 23-member community committee has been formed to come up with ideas to spend $10-million  on downtown revitalization.
The panel holds its first public meeting this afternoon at city hall.
The group is made up of politicians, business owners, civic leaders and representatives of non-profit agencies.
The meeting is scheduled for 4 this afternoon in city hall.

Talks have begun over a new contract for city manager Jason Molino.
Just last month, the council voted 5 to 4 to reject a 2.75%  pay raise for the manager.
But now the election is over.
Molino‘s existing contract is 10 years old.
His current salary is $93,782  a year.

An attempted strong arm robbery on West Main Street remains under investigation.
Four male suspects on bicycles were located outside Dick’s Sporting Goods Saturday night by an off-duty police officer.
No arrests were made in the case and Batavia Police have not determined whether the suspects were involved in an October incident where a man was splashed in the face with an unknown liquid by a group of young bicycle riders.

A Cheektowaga man is accused of streaking at the Bills game.  On Sunday Tristan Lambright was escorted from New Era Field after allegedly running onto the field naked.  He was charged with criminal trespass and public lewdness.  Lambright was jailed and is due back in court today.

Darien Lake is planning on building a five-million-dollar roller coaster by next spring.  Yesterday the theme park revealed plans for their new roller coaster named Tantrum.  Darien Lake plans on demolishing the Thunder Rapids log ride to build the new ride.  Tantrum is expected to open in May.
