An alleged marijuana bust by a Sheriff’s K-9 unit has one LeRoy resident facing charges.

K-9 Pharaoh and his master, Deputy Brian Thompson, were apparently running through training exercises yesterday on East Park Street in the Town of Pavilion’s. Pharaoh suddenly alerted to the smell of marijuana on a parked car.

Upon further investigation, Deputy Thompson found a small quantity of what is believed to be marijuana, and three pipes apparently used for smoking.

The driver of the car, 17-year-old Jacob Elliot, was arrested. He is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Elliot is due in court March 1st.
