During her second pregnancy, Carrie Fisher of Corfu developed a cardiomyopathy that weakened her heart to the point where she required to be assisted by a machine.

She is now at the top of the list for a heart transplant at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Fisher’s husband Andrew and other family members are watching their two children, however Carrie will need long term care as well even if she returns home shortly.

Fisher’s sister has set up a GoFundme account in the hopes of raising $25,000 to assist the Fishers.

Over the past two weeks they have raised over $19,000.
