Something made three JetBlue crew members sick, causing an emergency landing at Buffalo-Niagara International airport. 
The flight was going from Boston to San Diego before it had to double back to Buffalo around 7 o’clock last evening.
The pilot and two flight attendants were taken to ECMC complaining of dizziness. 
126 passengers were taken off the plane.
A back-up aircraft was brought in late last night and the flight continued on to San Diego.

An employee of PCORE Electric in LeRoy became stuck in a machine at while making repairs.
The incident happened late yesterday morning.
Preliminary reports indicated the man fell into a pit and his leg became pinned in the machine.
The unidentified man was said to be in his 50’s.
He was trapped for half an hour.
LeRoy firemen used their own power equipment to free him. 
The man was taken to Strong Hospital as a precaution.

New York State announces more than $700,000 in federal funding to help advance two local developments.
The Town of Batavia was awarded $465,000 to benefit Freightliner & Western Star build a fleet maintenance facility on State St Road.
Resurgence Brewing gets a grant of $225,000 to help its restaurant and craft brewing project in the Ellicott Station development in Batavia.
The funding is expected to create 67 jobs in total.

It isn't known if any Applebee's or IHOP restaurants in Western New York are going to close.
The parent company of both restaurants announced it was closing more than 150 restaurants across the country. 
More than 100 Applebee's and up to 25 IHOPs are set to close.  The specific locations and times of closures weren't released.
Applebee’s operates one location in the Town of Batavia.
There are no IHOP restaurants in Genesee County.

Batavia Downs is running a little short on entries for the ever popular Weiner Dog races.
The Downs has put out the word they are still seeking Dachshunds for the races on Sunday, August 27.
A total of 80 dogs are needed to round out the field.
Dachshund owners wishing to participate should call Batavia Downs’ Wiener Dog race coordinator Arna Tygart at 585-343-3750, ext. 6437, and leave a message. Staff will call back to confirm.
