They said it appeared the woman was trying to get hit by a car.

On her second attempt, she did.

A little insensitive, considering her family and all. I understand your world revolves around reporting news, but maybe you should know facts before you pass judgements.

Our account was based on witness statements and confirmed by police.
Please note "Batavia Sunday News" from Sunday, July 17.
This was a tragedy.
I believe we handed it with sensitivity.
We probably would never have used the story if it had not occured in a public place with so many witnesses. Not using an item like this fuels rumors which can be more damaging to the family. We never released the woman's name.

If you want a real story, why did Strong Memorial release her knoing she was suicidal ? They knew this and still released her not once but twice. Now thats a story. Can't wait to hear the answer for that !
