The restoration of the landmark Creekside Tavern and Inn will be a great boost for tourism in the region. The fact that Farmer is planning to restore this beautiful creek side property and restaurant with meeting and special event space will draw people from well beyond LeRoy. When so many small towns are plowing under their landmarks and history, it is wonderful to see a company focused on restoring beauty and charm and enhancing downtown LeRoy.

Revitalizing and maintaining historic properties is a daunting task, to say nothing of a complete fire restoration. Bill Farmer has already invested much more in the restoration of this building than most can fathom. He deserves any assistance available and the support of local and regional persons and government in his quest to re-establish The Creekside. Communities deserve more than franchise cookie cutter restaurants, and The Creekside has the potential to be among the leaders of independent historic inns we are so blessed to have in Western NY.
