United Way Day of Caring
Start getting your teams together for the United Way Day of Caring to be held in Genesee County, Wednesday, May 13, 8am. Registration opens Friday, February 20th and closes Monday, March 30th. Volunteers of all ages are needed to complete projects to give back to our community. Contact Erik Fix

Genesee YMCA is looking for individuals to volunteer with the Challenger Swim Program. This five week program will run Mondays, April 20 to May 18, from 4:15pm to 6pm. No experience necessary; training will be available to help teach individuals with special needs to swim. Contact Megan Boring at 344-1664 for more information.
YWCA Women of Distinction
Batavia YWCA is accepting nominations of women, companies and organizations that have gone above and beyond in the following categories: Racial Justice; Economic Empowerment; Corporate Social Responsibility; Military,Veteran; Advocacy, Civic Engagement; and Peace. Prom Dress Collection
Living Waters Church, 30 Main Street, Leroy, will collect gently used prom dresses from now until March 13th at the church office, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays between 8am and 3pm. "Girls Helping Girls" project helps area girls receive a free prom dress. Call 768-7570 for more information.

Medical Transportation Program
The Genesee County Office for the Aging is in critial need of volunteers to take individuals to medical appointments outside of Genesee County. Supplemental liability insurance is provided to all volunteers and mileage reimbursement may be available. UMMC ASK A Nurse
United Memorial Hospital will offer, "Ask a Nurse" community outreach program the First Tuesday of each month from 9am to 11am, in the Jerome Center Lobby, 16 Bank Street, Batavia; and on the Third Tuesday of each month from 9am to 11am, in the main lobby of the hospital at 127 North Street, Batavia. A registered nurse will be present to answer questions, check blood pressure, review medications, and provide diabetes risk assessments. The program is free and open to the public on a walk in basis.

Volunteer to Deliver Home Meals
The Office for the Aging is in need of volunteer drivers to deliver Home delivered meals in Batavia. You can volunteer daily or as little as once a month. Each delivery takes approximately one to one and half hours. Easy pick up accessibility and assistance with loading at the Genesee ARC Community Center, Woodrow Road, Batavia.
